STOP is just starting.

For the moment, we will be offering courses in several aspects of Theatre of the Oppressed (TO), predominantly delivered by UK-based practitioners. STOP starts as an experiment, a school, with a limited curriculum.

In future, we hope STOP can start to become in addition a laboratory for TO and TO-linked techniques and a meeting point for practitioners from different areas of practice, different political contexts and different geographical regions.

A school, a resource, a laboratory, a centre for what Boal called ‘multiplication’. This is in the future. For now, STOP is just starting.

It is an article of faith that in time we will seek to make STOP available to all, regardless of economic power or status. Please tell others about STOP. Just shout STOP!
